  1. I had the first depressive episode I've had in months Tonight, I felt as though I was being crushed by the rush of these feelings consuming me, and yet as I have done for 4 years, I find Alan Watts and his teachings, and the world seems all the less pressured. Instead I feel hope again, and with it, motivation. One day I'll be okay

  2. The eloquence of this is so profound. I can’t believe that philosophy isn’t a more fundamental part of education, it makes things so much easier to understand and appreciate.

  3. This is one of my favorite Alan Watts thoughts. That eventually we'd come to dream of exactly the life we're living now. And we're all that, only we're pretending we're not. How inspiring.

  4. I have been watching this video for over 5 years, when i was incompletely comprehensive of my own self and my decisions that i was making at the time of immaturity , but i took it; in what I believe was a very postive aspect and have been sharing it since. Too be complete genuine I still take too many approaches too what the actual meaning/perspective of this video is given the fact that it is edited, nevertheless recently as of tonight I think the point he is trying too get across, is explaining the morals of humainty. What do you guys think?

  5. It's my 20th birthday today, and I felt the need to start it with this. I know that I am so young– yet I sometimes feel do incredibly nostalgic for early childhood. The past few weeks I suddenly really realized that life, that existence is so brief. I'd like to think that there is more to life than the physical world, in some form we can't quite comprehend. But this video, Alan Watts' words, it just somehow makes everything better. It's like being enveloped in this gentle knowingness so we can realize that we are miraculous beings but just BEING here. That this is indeed the ultimate reality, to live.

  6. Every audio, every video and every book from Alan Watts should be made available to all for free, it should be taught in schools.
His material is currently sold to the public on the basis of helping to maintain it, however I believe many would volunteer as custodians of his work and ensure its availability to all, and longevity to society.
Everything that educates and helps society to grow and learn should not be a commodity or a luxury, but a basic necessity met by governments to the people.

  7. I just watched this three times in a row. Alan Watts, damn. He has awakened thoughts, ideas and emotions in me I didn't even know I had. This particular video (and a few others of his) made me cry.

  8. "God" in the sense of Perfect Eternal Conscious Energy. Now drop the father-figure, single entity picture of "God", and replace it with every living thing. All living things are the product of spiritual entities, each of whom is perfectly equal and equally perfect to all others. They have nothing better to do throughout eternity than to dream dreams and live them out in the flesh (or bark, or scales, or feathers, or whatever).

  9. I felt like i had ascended, like i was teleported to some sort of other reality. And heard only this, but imagined what he said. This video made me feel. So. Content. And. Whole.

  10. If I had one video that I could watch moments before my death, this would be it. Alan Watts' lectures have had a profound impact on my life and have played a major role in my own personal "awakening" in a spiritual context. What an extraordinary spiritual teacher. To Tragedy and Hope, between you and TJOP, I probably account for a large part of your viewership particularly in regards to your Alan Watts videos over the past two and half years or so. Thank you.
