Some time ago I was asked to do a meditation script for migraine and headache relief. I really didn’t have enough firsthand experience to do a deep dive and find the right words or tone for this. And then, I suddenly found myself suffering from occipital neuralgia for a month and did I ever get insight into what that pain needed. Release. I booked a trip to Aruba. I meditated and did yoga and pledged my allegiance to peppermint oil and lavender. And I sought out these funny, wise souls, @bob and brad, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QRnfPrso0c, (they equated the pain to feeling like a stroke and helped me recover as well). What I learned is the value of a dark room, cool and healing air, and visualizations that dialed down the stress and tension that was further perpetuating my pain. Always seek a doctor’s help for medical advice, as I truly can only attest to my own experiences. But this meditation may help, at the very least, to give you something to focus on when you need a respite. And even if you aren’t currently in pain, you may find it helps reduce stress.
