Today, let’s talk about how to stop being lied to by men. I’m going to give you keys that are very simple to stop being lied to.

The first key is to let go of your fantasy. When we have a fantasy about what we want in a relationship, especially when you believe that it’s hard for you to find the right guy, you’ll be looking for something to fulfill it no matter what even if it compromises your values. Even if he lies to you, simply because you want the fantasy to happen, you’re willing to believe him.

When we have an obvious bias, we’re going to be easier to deceived that’s why I say that love is one of the deceptive emotions.

The second key is to look at the acts and not what they say. This is big especially with friends and with people that we believe that we love, sometimes they tell us something and do the other thing. And because we’re so affirming and deceptive and looking for confirmation bias, we’re willing to disregard the acts and listen to what they’re telling us.

The third key is to act like you don’t know anything or else, you’ll raise suspicion. If a guy’s going to lie, he’s going to see how visual you are. the problem is a lot of times we try to act like we are not easily fooled or see ourselves as wise and it raises people’s defenses. If a guy’s going to lie, it’s going to be hard to find out he’s lying if he knows you’re always looking at his phone or asking questions. When he knows that, he’ll be extra careful.

You want him to think that you trust him and you’ll never leave him. Stack up the evidence and let him mess up. This takes too much patience.

Get into the habit of learning how to shut up sometimes and let him do whatever he needs to do and casually react.

  1. I donโ€™t always like your videos but this one is awesome – thanks! …. also – (maybe) on the same topic- I think we fail to differentiate between someoneโ€™s personality vs their character โ€”-

  2. Hereโ€™s what really gets me youโ€™re laid back and real in your videos get distracted so easily to me just shows how authentic your content is not copy paste from some books Thanks

  3. This one guy kept lying to me over and over about who he was sleeping with(other than me) and he ended up crying. After he cried to me he instantly ran to this girl and is in a relationship with him now. Do you think men use crying as a form of manipulation sometimes?

  4. Good'ay Lovie,

Recently widowed. Have not dated in 17 years. Have not seen all your videos, but I would like to hear on the the subject of online date, chats rooms (ugh), long distance relationships (do not send money to anyone you have not at least met in person).

Jolly good videos Lovie. Appreciate the insight & new found understanding.

  5. Thank u Alex- this is soooo true- if u have the patience to do it. I left my husband after watching him disrespect our marriage, our home and our children. I stopped complaining and 'watching' his actions. When I left with the kids there was NOTHING to say. He tried to talk me into staying but all of the writing was on the wall. I had seen enough to keep me focused on the reality and not the fantasy I tried to create.

  6. You're wrong about the patience. ย I have totally been patient and allowed him to dig a grave so that there would be no argument. ย Once I gathered all the evidence I presented that. ย And he came clean cause he didn't know how much I knew. ย It worked great. I did it this way because I didn't want him to be able to go back & forth. ย Hard evidence works better.

  7. I was married to a pathological liar. long story. I'm healed now and done a lot of inner work. i agree completely with this video. act dumb keep an open mind to yourself. don't alert them to your suspicion. the only way I realised about the lying was to know the truth of a situation anyway myself. one final word is when you realise you are being lied to just get out of the relationship. don't waste your time or energy on an habitual liar. heal yourself.. ask the question…What are you lying to yourself about? alex is spot on with this. as usual ๐Ÿ’œ

  8. alex schools are gonna breath down your neck and be on high alert with s young man like you with a microphone and video recording….i taught school for 20 years and wanted to warn you….and girls theses days will cause all kinds of drama just for attention…I wish you would find another location….for all kinds if reasons. sorry if I'm butting in where i don't belong but if rather say something than see something crazy happen to you.

  9. Alex…. my dating coach hero…… Question ….. when I asked a man I am seeing him once a month, but we text sometimes…..should I accept my ex back…. he answer I have no opinion as I do not know him and your situation………….why he can say "yes or no'….. does he still want me …. he said he likes me a lot but not love me at the beginning … he is a divorced man … thanks for answer….hero

  10. Thankyou very much, hottie ;P
But this guy just openly told me that he will try to stop lying to me the next time…. WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!!! So he was being fake af ?! and now he doesn't want to do that no more??
The situation is that we see eachother once a 2-3 months and texts 1 a 2 weeks or 4 days in a row. When at the beginning we had a intense relationship.
How can I mean more to him, more than he is acting like.

  11. Alex ๐Ÿ˜ฃ I love your videos so much! Why you had to dis Edward ๐Ÿ˜” hahaha I probably do live in a fantasy world like you said, but I love him so f**ing much ๐Ÿ˜„โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜
