A little attention to detail never hurt anyone and may have benefits if it involves monitoring what you put in your body. Reduce your bad cholesterol through simple disciplined measures that are proven to help.

Step 1: Disrupt fat with exercise
Use exercise to naturally disrupt the metabolism of fat. Eating less helps, but excess body fat will keep cholesterol up until you actually lose pounds by breaking a sweat. Moderate walking and workouts five days a week can raise good cholesterol by 10 percent.

Step 2: Relax and reflect

Step 6: Choose smart fats
Select smart fats for your diet, substituting canola or olive oils for vegetable oil, butter, margarine, lard, or shortening. It’s not merely fats, but the kind of fats you eat, that make the difference.

Eggs do not drastically increase cholesterol.

Step 7: Take drugs to lower cholesterol
Take a cholesterol-lowering drug if you have evident cardiovascular risks. Beforehand, consider alternatives like niacin, bile acid resins, and fibrates.

Resolve to make changes, and live a healthy lifestyle. It’s your life — only you can make the changes to lower your bad cholesterol.

I don't want to reduce cholesterol because people with high levels of both HDL and LDL cholesterol have no more incidents of heart disease and heart attack than people with low cholesterol levels.  Up to date research tells us that but we are bombarded every day with ads telling us (and doctors) we need to reduce cholesterol levels.  This whole cholesterol issue is the product of the big pharmaceutical companies to sell the most popular drug in the world today – statins!  They  have the government convinced too and are raking in billions of dollars world over.  The human body naturally produces cholesterol as it is a requirement for cell growth and health – both HDL and LDL are needed.

I do intense exercises and work out doors.  But when it comes  to eating rabbit food, it doesn't work for me and it makes me tired.   And besides my cardiologist said a diet would not work to get my familial hypercholesterolemia down which is a genetic disorder.  And besides our bodies produce most of our cholesterol where food adds very little to cholesterol.

  7. "Eggs don't drastically increase cholesterol." But they do increase it somewhat. If you want to lower cholesterol, eggs are off the menu. The same goes for oils and excessive nuts. This kind of advice is what the establishment uses to keep the drug companies in business.

  8. Don't worry LDL or the bad cholesterol alone unless your triglycerides are high and your HDL is low.
    Consider the two readings which is important one is triglycerides and the other one is the HDL. Don't worry about LDL reading because there are 2 Types of LDL, the larger ones and the smaller ones. The larger ones or benign is not harmful, only the smaller LDL which contributes to heart desease. Just look at the values of HDL and triglycerides. If triglicerides is very high and your HDL is low most likely the LDL numbers seen are likely the smaller ones which is harmful. Just make sure to increase your HDL and lower your triglicerides.

  9. my dad just died from a heart attack.  He had low cholesterol.  My uncle just had a heart attack.  He has low cholesterol.  In fact the whole Lipid theory is junk science.  Based on giving Rabbits Cholesterol, and  Dr. Ansel Keys Six Countries Study.  Turns out the doctor purposely left out the other countries he studied.  If he had included all 22 of them, the chart would have shown no conclusive outcome.
