If you want to achieve your goals, motivation isn’t enough. How many days have you woken up thinking, “I just don’t feel like it?” In those cases, you can attempt to raise your motivation… or you can just do the thing anyway.

The latter option requires discipline – which is completely separate from motivation. It is the mental quality – often called willpower – that allows you to practice self control, to work hard even when you’re tired, and to lean into discomfort rather than shying away from it.

So, if you want to improve your self discipline, and use it to build new habits and achieve your goals, then put the 6 tips I’m going to share with you in this video into action.

  1. But how do you get better at self discipline when you have things to do but you don't see the point in it? For example, a student in school may understand the importance but may also understand school is not entirely important in becoming "successful."

  2. Wow! That's exactly how i finally quit smoking cigs. All my coworkers thought i was crazy. They would ask me, "how's it going quitting smoking?" And i would respond without hesitation and straight-faced as can be, "i never have smoked, i dont know what youre talking about" 😂

    Also Starburst… loooooootts of Starburst.

  3. Hi. Great video, just a note: All people suffering from enormous phone addiction should think twice before using an app. Just a thought I had. I'm myself heavily addicted to the thing and I'm 100% sure it is the biggest damage dealer to myself.

  4. i started meditating like he said for like 2 min and i realized. when im conecntrating on my breathing im concentrating on the now.
