Grounding Into Gratitude – Root Chakra Yoga – Yoga With Adriene

This yoga practice guides you through a series of poses to balance the root chakra and cultivate grounding with gratitude. When the root chakra, or Muladhara, is out of balance a person can feel anxious, uneasy, fearful, worried and stressed. This can lead to low energy and low immunity and an overall sense of instability. Use the tools of yoga to strengthen and balance to the root chakra, the foundation of all the other chakras. Cultivate self love, stability, and sense of security. You are worthy and deserving. Remind yourself, you are awesome and you are supported!

Take good care of yourself so you can take good care of others. Let me know how it goes down below. Namaste.

  1. Starting the november calendar 5 days late! It's good to be back after 2 whole months of not practicing because of school haha. And I laughed quite a lot during this and it's refreshing!

  2. This may be an older video, but I can't thank you enough for making it. My therapist told me to work on my root chakra before, and I never ended up doing it. Well, after researching it eventually and seeing what happens when it's unbalanced/out of alignment, I can safely say my therapist knows me frighteningly well. I can safely assume that my root chakra was first put out of balance when I was around 3 years old due to childhood trauma/unstable household, and has at the very least impacted my mental state. I've only recently noticed that I've felt like I'm sitting behind my eyes on a daily basis, and after looking into it and speaking with my therapist, I'm both shocked but also not. Dissociation has been with me for all but three or four years of my life, and I can only really assume it has something to do with my root chakra, especially after looking in to it. It fits like a puzzle piece. I've struggled with social anxiety/general anxiety for as long as I can remember, just like the dissociation. So I say again, thank you. Thank you for helping me get a foot in the door into my recovery. I still have a lot to learn about a lot of things in this world, but I can't do that if I feel the way I do right now. You're truly a blessing, thank you. Sending positivity your way always. 💚

  3. Doing this video in Hamburg, Germany almost 6 months after having c-section. Feels amazing! (I am doing this in my living room while wearing my Pijama's while my daughter hangs around beside/on me but I can imagine you saying its ok) Thanks for this!

  4. Thank you Adriene for this fabulous sequence! I randomly chose this video and it was perfect for my anxiety and adrenal issues. We (my pup Luis and I) love de-stressing with you and Benji from our home in Nashville, TN. Namaste!

  5. I am grateful for Yoga With Adriene! I have been practicing for a few years now and it did not hit me until recently the yoga was more than a workout for the body. It is ultimately a workout for the mind. Thank you.
