•0.5 – 1.5 Hz – Pain relief. Endorphin release
•0.9 Hz – Euphoric feeling
•1 Hz – Well being. Harmony and balance
•2.5 Hz – Production of endogenous opiates (pain killers, reduce anxiety)
•2.5 Hz – Relieves migraine pain. Produces endogenous opiates
•3.4 Hz – Helps achieve restful sleep
•3.5 Hz – Feeling of unity with everything. Whole being regeneration
•3.9 Hz – Self renewal, enhanced inner awareness
•4.0 Hz – Enkephalin release for reduced stress
•4.0 Hz – Allows brain to produce enkaphalins, all natural pain killer
•4.0 Hz – Full memory scanning. Releases enkephalins
•4.0 Hz – Vital for memory and learning. Problem solving, object naming
•1 – 3 Hz – Profound relaxation, restorative sleep. Tranquility and peace
What is Delta Brainwave?
This is the slowest band of waves that our brain produce, but they are loud brainwaves (low frequency and deep penetrating, like a drum beat). It is produced in our brain during dreamless sleep (deep sleep), deepest meditation. The delta brainwave range is associated with empathy, the unconscious mind, and a decreased sense of awareness.
Benefits from Delta Brainwaves:
• Very beneficial for the body which restores and heals itself.
• Releases anti-aging hormones, DHEA, melatonin.
• Releases HGH – Human growth hormone by activating the stimulation of the pituitary gland.
• Speeds up the healing process of joint and cartilage injuries.
• Helps in recovering from physical pain.
• This can cause a person to have advanced state of empathy and understanding others.
• It is the place of deepest healing, deepest relaxation, deepest connection with subconscious mind and deepest spiritual connection.
• It is the gateway to bringing access to the universal psyche or mind.
What are Brainwaves?
Billions of brain cells called neurons combine together to form a brain. Neurons communicate within our brains to cause emotions, behaviours and our every thought. And, during this communication between neurons, brainwaves are produced.
Some specific amount of electrical activity in the brain takes place due to signals sent by those millions of neurons. Medical equipment called EEG “electroencephalogram” can detect this electrical activity. And, this electrical activity occurring in our brain is called Brainwave pattern.
Our brainwaves change according to what we are feeling and doing and we can actually control over them. We can train our brain to change our brainwaves by learning and applying relaxation and meditation techniques. But, it is quite hard for most of all and it may take weeks or years to achieve those verified powerful benefits of brainwave entertainment by the meditation alone.
There is other best, effective, short-cut method to synchronise and entertain our brainwaves and that is by using an audio tone called “binaural beats”. So, binaural beats also known as brainwave entertainment factor are key methods for healing, relaxation, sleep, meditation, pain relief, chakra activation, study and work aids, energy boosters and more.
Brainwave pattern is of cyclic, “wave-like” nature and Brainwave speed is measured in Hertz (cycles per second). Brainwaves as per slow, moderate, and fast waves are divided into five different bands and they are:
1. Delta Waves (0.5Hz to 4 Hz)
2. Theta Waves (4Hz to 8 Hz)
3. Alpha Waves (8Hz to 14 Hz)
4. Beta Waves (14Hz to 30 Hz)
5. Gamma Waves (30Hz to 50Hz)
There are more other waves that have been discovered, they are:
• Mu (8Hz to 12 Hz)
• Sigma (sleep spindle), 12Hz to 14 Hz
• SMR (Sensory motor rhythm), 12.5 to 15.5Hz
What are the benefits of modifying our brainwaves?
The default and dominant brainwave is the beta brainwave pattern for most of us for most of the time. We consciously stay alert with this brainwave. We are in Beta when we feel afraid, hurried, tense, pressured, stressed and agitated and this frequencies range from 13 to 60Hz.
We can switch to another brainwave like from Beta to Alpha by slowing down our brainwaves patterns. This benefits us to keep our brain ideal for both optimal performance and super learning.
